One-On-One & Relationship Counseling
All our work is based solidly on the spiritual principles of ACIM. Combining these principles with traditional psychological approaches of Gestalt, neuro linguistic programming, family systems and energy provides an insightful and powerful new view on whatever issue an individual or couple may be experiencing. Our goal is to provide our clients with the tools and philosophy needed to continue to grow.
A course in Miracles is a non dualistic and inclusive form of thinking. Much of what we do is based on the premise that none of us is an island – we all come from a collection of relationships and connections. Therefore if one member of the family is experiencing pain or difficulty, the whole system is responsible and having difficulty also. Sometimes it is much more effective to work with the whole system rather than one individual.
Counseling by Phone or Skype:
The world is getting smaller and at the same time our lives seem to be getting busier. When it is difficult o meet face to face or if you are located outside of the GTA area, we are available by phone or Skype for counseling sessions.
||$75 to $150 per session, depending upon length of session and people involved.
||Our policy is to never turn anyone away based on inability to pay. We will work with you on a sliding scale based on ability, integrity and fairness.
Counseling Services Offered by Students in Training
We also have a few very skilled people available who have trained with us and are still building their wealth of experience. Student rates are established individually. Students are supervised and are in consultation throughout the counseling relationship.
Speakers are available to conduct “mini workshops” on request. The focus of each workshop is on a central theme of the course or everyday life. The theme is then expanded to increase deeper understanding of the Course and participants’ ability to apply its principles to their individual life circumstances. Sample topics include:
We are never upset for the reasons we think
– a workshop on the meaning of true forgiveness
Money – The Ego And You
Join us in uncovering experientially into what money means to us, how we use it as fuel to prove our beliefs about the Universe, ourselves and others and then how to return to innocence and peace. This is an active workshop and designed for both significant learning and fun. It is relevant whether you perceive yourself as having enough or not enough. We all have a role in shifting current beliefs in order to create a world in which abundance for all is the norm.
Relationship as a Spiritual Path:
The purpose of relationship according to the CIM is to make happy and to heal. Yes – there is a way through- This workshop demonstrates techniques to use to help make the purpose of your relationship clear, why you attract the people you do, and how to use all irritation big and small to heal and be at peace.
Forgiveness in 3D
Experience a method of understanding and applying the CIM’s meaning of forgiveness to yourself. Through identifying your strengths, your pitfalls and people who “drive you nuts” you will be guided to develop a true appreciation of the qualities you bring to the world.
